MILITARY SCHOLARSHIPS

​

• Annual Blue Mountain High School scholarship, lifetime funding received

• Annual Schuylkill County CPT Jason Jones Memorial Scholarship; first recipient awarded in 2018!

  • These scholarships award a distinguished graduate pursuing a ​military career through a military academy or ROTC program

• Annual educational scholarship supporting a child of a Special Forces soldier, committed through 2019 through the Duskin and Stephens Foundation​ 

• Scholarships granted to children of fallen heroes  through the  Children of Fallen Patriots

WE REMEMBER

​

• 2018 Co-sponsorship and donation towards the Veterans’ Memorial Foyer planned as part of the Orwigsburg Veterans Memorial Restoration Project and "They did it for us" Campaign

• Donated to the Tails of Valor Program in Coopersburg, PA in support of the training and pairing of four service dogs for veterans upon their return from overseas service. 

  • “Jason” was our first sponsor. 

  • “Hyde” was sponsored in honor of 1st Lt. Daniel Hyde, a fellow graduate of West Point Class of 2007, who was killed in March 2009 in Iraq.

  • Tails of Valor also named a third dog in Jason's honor, "Jones."

  • "Boris" is sponsored in memory of Captain David Boris of Pottsville, PA who died bravely on November 2007 in Bermel, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered from an improvised explosive device

  • "Holley" is sponsored in honor of Captain David J. Holley, Jr of Schuylkill Haven who gave the ultimate sacrifice during flight maneuvers over the Atlantic 

• Annual holiday packages to deployed 3rd Group Special Forces teams worldwide

• Annual donation to Lehigh Valley Gold Star Mothers

• Donation to the Marshall Legacy Institute in support of bomb-sniffing dog "Jason" in Bosnia

• Video of MDD Jason in Bosnia with the Marshall Legacy Institute

• Provided Educational Scholarship to the children of Major Sean Maples, an Army Ranger, Green Beret, West Point classmate and dear friend of Jason's who passed away after fighting a courageous battle with melanoma

VETERAN SUPPORT

​

• Donated 12 fly fishing rods to Paul's House which helps assist and support homeless Veterans

• A donation to an annual bus trip for Schuylkill County veterans to visit the World War II Memorial, the Korean War Veterans Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C.

• The funding of food and clothing holiday donations to homeless veterans through a local "Holiday Hope for our Heroes" drive (2017)

• Provided a stipend for medical and travel expenses for a veteran suffering from an illness caused by exposures during deployment
