Annual Captain Jason B. Jones Memorial Golf Tournament & Dinner
Location: Schuylkill Country Club, Pottsville, PA
Our flagship fundraiser and a beloved community tradition. The tournament features a double shotgun start at 7:30 AM and 1:00 PM in a four-man scramble format. Contests include longest drive, closest-to-the-pin, and hole-in-one prizes.
The day includes AM and PM golf flights, a noon patriotic ceremony, a kid's ice cream social, lunch, dinner, and live acoustic music at the evening celebration. This event sells out every year, so register early.

Created by Schuylkill United Way to match volunteers with service projects at partner agencies that provide health and human services across Schuylkill County. Projects range from gardening and painting to cleaning and small repairs, with schools, libraries, and nursing homes also pitching in — most notably through a letter-writing campaign for Operation Gratitude. The day was renamed in Jason's honor the year after his sacrifice.

Holiday Care Packages for Deployed Special Forces
Each year right after Thanksgiving, the foundation assembles and sends care packages to 3rd Group Special Forces teams deployed around the world for the holidays. These packages include comfort items, snacks, and letters of support.
